Brian Barton

Executive Director – Central U.S.

With over 25 years of executive experience in community corrections, Mr. Barton brings an extensive and distinguished career in electronic monitoring program management to the Track Group family. As Executive Director of our Indiana operations and business development in Michigan, Ohio & Kentucky, Mr. Barton oversees some of the most renowned and comprehensive alternatives to incarceration programs in the United States. A lifelong public servant, Barton began his career with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office working directly on initiatives aimed at reducing jail overcrowding. Over the next 14 years, Barton would go on to become Executive Director of Marion County Community Corrections, where he was a pioneer in community-based alternative justice programs, building the county’s first 350-bed Work Release Center and starting one of the very first GPS and remote alcohol monitoring programs in the country. Prior to joining Track Group in 2014, Mr. Barton developed electronic monitoring programs for Elmo Tech & 3M in the Central U.S. Widely regarded as an industry expert in electronic monitoring technology and a consummate figure in community corrections, Barton was elected 3 times as President of the Indiana Association of Community Corrections Act Counties (IACCAC). Mr. Barton earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Management from Indiana University at Indianapolis.
